T he 22-year journey of PPATK is a narrative rich with struggle, dedication, and innovation. Since its inception, PPATK has been unwavering in its commitment to eradicating money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism, tirelessly adapting to the ever-changing landscape. This journey is encapsulated in the 2024 Mid-Year Report, which introduces a fresh theme, highlighting the milestones of PPATK's extensive journey. The report, elegantly adorned in black and gold, is presented in a bilingual format, focusing on business processes beyond the traditional tasks of individual work units. This report not only showcases PPATK's accomplishments in the first half of 2024 but also underscores the new direction it has taken to continue innovating in its duties. In this edition, PPATK brings attention to pressing issues such as the escalating threat of online gambling, where thorough analysis and investigation have revealed a staggering IDR 13.2 trillion in accumulated funds from these activities. Moreover, PPATK successfully identified escrow accounts used for online gambling transactions, uncovered suspected money laundering layering, and issued 41 intelligence reports related to alleged money laundering from narcotics crimes. To maintain the quality and integrity of its reporting, PPATK actively collaborates with various supervisory, regulatory, and stakeholder institutions, both nationally and internationally. These efforts are further reinforced by the achievement of the SNI ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, marking a significant milestone in information technology governance and information security risk management, and underscoring PPATK's commitment to safeguarding data security and confidentiality. The report also reflects the significant progress PPATK has made in various areas, including the development and maintenance of reliable information systems and the continuous strengthening of internal management. Through a series of initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, PPATK continues to assert its role as the frontline in the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing in Indonesia.
